My Site Build It Story

Why Not Profit from Your Passion With Solo Build It?

So!... How does a guy who’s a gutter contractor end up building a web site, especially when the web site he builds gives away free gutter installation and repair advice.

One would think that when it comes to business decisions giving away the company secrets is in most cases not on the to do list of your average business owner.

Hi, my name is Jim,and I live in the small town of Texas, USA. Bridgeport is about an hour north of Fort Worth Texas.

I've been an American Airlines commercial aircraft mechanic for the last 22 years. Everything was fine up until September 11, 2001, when the United States was attacked by terrorist. Our company took a devastating blow and due to their loss of revenue, we were given a choice of bankruptcy or a significant cut in pay and benefits.

We (the employees) reluctantly chose the pay cut along with reduced vacation holidays and other benefits to help American avoid bankruptcy.

My wife and I understood that we needed to do something to fix the loss of income. It so happened that a friend of mine who owned a gutter business, wanted to retire, so I bought the business from him and he trained me, my wife and son until he felt that we were capable of running the show. I also went on and acquired additional training with the incredibly talented David Rich of DMR Gutters in Portland Oregon and attended the Gutter Boot Camp presented by the Senox Corporation and Mr. Bill Frazier, of Austin Gutterman.

For a while, things were pretty good. New home construction was booming and we had all the work that we could possibly handle.

In 2008, home construction started to slow down and even though my income was still pulling us through, our business was starting to feel the pinch. American Airlines was also feeling the pinch since they had reported very little profit in the last ten years.

I finally excepted the fact that I could not depend on American Airlines any longer. We new it was only a matter of time before the company would play the bankruptcy card again.

On November 29,2012 American Airlines actually did file bankruptcy and a decision was made to outsource all of our aircraft maintenance to overseas locations and close the maintenance base where I work.

A Major Setback Or A Blessing In Disguise

With new home construction slowing down and American Airlines struggling to survive, I began to think about my alternatives. I was thinking that if I built a web site, I could generate some extra gutter business. After looking at a number of options I accidently discovered a company called SiteSell, founded by Dr, Ken Evoy.

Dr. Ken Evoy said that it was possible to create a site, whether I had an existing business or not and if the web site I built was created around a passion or subject I was familiar with, I would make money, but there was a catch, it wouldn't happen over night. In fact, he said a good amount of effort was needed on my part. He explained that I'd have to do some reading and be able to write content, more content, and still more content.

Writing was definitely not what I would consider as one of my strong points but SiteSell did offer a Netwriting Masters Course, that I could down load forfree.

Even after reading the Net Writing Masters course, I still held off on purchasing the course, however I was still very interested in building a web site. SiteSell did have the opportunity to download a free copy of the Solo Build It Action Guide, the guide is an instruction manual that SBI (Solo Build It) owners use, to build web sites.

After reading the action guide, I realized that If I wanted to make money from my own web site, I was going to have to learn about affiliates. SiteSell offered afree Affiliate Masters Course, so, I decided, I might as well read that one too.

Now, you may find this hard to believe but if you read all the free courses I mention above, and follow the instructions in them, you will have the tools, to be able to build a money making web site of your choice and end up not giving SiteSell a single cent. Why would they do that you ask? Well it takes me back to the beginning of this page where I talk about giving away the company secrets.

I along with SiteSell hope that by offering you something for free, you will in turn purchase from me or them, when your looking for an item you need, and we just happen to sell.

So, when I found out that I was going to require a web site host (and if you build a website, you will need a host too) and after checking the Solo Build It Case Studies page, along with there Results section, I ended up choosing SiteSell for the job. Selecting SiteSell as my host meant that I would also get there site building program Solo Build It, along with a number of other goodies, all of which helped me to easily create my web business.

It’s all up to you, as to how you build your internet business. I’m sure once you compare Solo Build It to other web site building programs, you will see that the SiteSell site building system has an assortment of extras that you just don’t get from other web site building companies.

So... How’s It Working Out For You Jim?

Well as I mentioned earlier, my gutter business is doing very well and it now gives me the opportunity to work a little more on my web site. As far as the web site business goes, I’m actually making money from it and no one is more surprised than me! Not enough to retire from yet but definitely more than a little extra cash.

Want to know how I make money?

(1.)Have you seen the Ads by Google on this site? That is one way I earn income from this site. When visitors click on the ads, I get paid.

(2.) Another way is companies pay to advertise on certain pages related to their product.

(3.) I also get orders for gutter jobs.

If you have read any of my articles on this website you know how I feel about research. I took the time, did my research and found a solution that met my needs called Solo Build It!

Solo Build It was designed for people like me who have never built a website and need a lot of help.

SBI assumes you know nothing about building an online business, however, it's invaluable for the advanced Webmaster, too. It provides everything you need. All you have to add to SBI is:

(1.) Knowledge about anything (everyone knows something about something)

(2.) Positive attitude

(3.) Motivation.

These qualities are called BAM... "Brains, Attitude, & Motivation."

Solo Build It takes all the fear out of building your first website by providing an action guide, design templates, search engine ranking help, etc. But most of all, they shows you how to build profitable e-business.

You don't need to have a business or even a product to sell. SBI has everything you need, and they will teach you step by step how to do everything.

They will help you find the perfect topic for your site, teach you how to build it, how to get traffic to it, and then they even teach you how to make money with it, no matter what it is about!

Even though all the information on this site is completely free, SBI has showed me how to earn a profit with Google ads and other affiliate programs.

Is this really that easy?

That is a very common question. The answer is, yes and no. It depends on your definition of easy.

It certainly isn't a matter of pressing a few buttons and the money starts rolling in. If that's what you mean by easy.

The one point I want to stress is this: it takes time, hard work and commitment to build a successful website. Do not underestimate the amount of time, hard work, and commitment required!

But that's all it takes. It does not take exceptional writing skills, it does not take technical knowledge, it does not require that you know anything about computers or websites.

In the beginning, you will have to learn a lot, but learning is part of SBI. You will be guided through the whole process. Anybody who is willing to learn and work can do this, no matter what your background. So it really is that easy.

How much time do you spend working on your site?

Since I still have a day job, I work on my site on the weekends an at night. I usually write a couple of pages a week.

I started this site in 2010. I work on it around four to six hours a day, throughout the week. (Not too much on the weekends!) It started out slow with only a few visitors a day but once I started gaining in the search engine rankings, more visitors came and now I am up to about 150 unique visitors a day. And it keeps growing.

It sounds good but I have no idea what I could make a website about.

That's not a problem. Most people who already have an idea change their mind after they start with Solo Build It.

The first thing that Solo Build It teaches you is how to select a profitable topic. There are no general rules. Everybody is different so this is an individual decision. SBI has brainstorming tools. You use them to generate ideas and to analyse them. You will be able to see if there is enough interest in a topic, how much competition there is, and if there is money to be made.

Choosing a topic for a website is the most important step in the whole process, so you shouldn't do it without Solo Build It anyway. Don't know what to make your site about? No problem!

It says Solo Build It costs $299 for the first year. What other cost are involved?

Absolutely no other cost. That's it!

$299.00 is the yearly subscription fee, or you could pay the monthly fee of $29.99 a month. And there is of course their rock solid money back guarantee. Don't like it? Just cancel it.

There are no catches. Solo Build It includes everything you need. There are no hidden costs. You can't go wrong by trying it out. The way I see it, you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. My suggestion: if you are serious about building a sizeable income stream for yourself, get the yearly subscription. It works out cheaper, and if you don't like it you can easily get all your money back.

"But I can't write."

I thought the same thing when I started. But as I mentioned above, Solo Build It teaches you everything you need to know to build a successful website, including how to write compelling content.

Ken Evoy wrote a fabulous book called Make Your Content Pre-Sell. It teaches how to write for the web. The book has always been part of Solo Build It, but everyone else had to buy it. Now you can download it here for free.

Well, those are some of the important questions that I've been asked. Let me know if I left something out so I can add it here.

If you want to know more about my experiences with Solo Build It, you are more than welcome to contact me.

It's been fun and exciting building this website. I just wish I could have discovered Solo Build It sooner!
